This is the life saving machine my hubby has fitted

If ever you needed to see something in action, to work out just why it is so good, watch this. The young footballer's heart stops, and he blacks out, completely unreponsive. Then his internal defibrillator gives him a jolt, and seconds later he is awake.

Please have a heart people!

Some of you will know the impact heart disease has had on my family.

Most families don't get the chance to fight back, but thanks to my job, I can. Please see the images below (font corrupted on PDF transfer to jpeg I am afraid) but I am really hoping this campaign makes a difference.

I hope to set up a just giving account, or to bypass the bank charges on that please contact me for the bank account detail if you want to help out.

Many thanks

A walk around the loch

Today was one of the first days this year that it was nice to walk around the loch in just a t-shirt. This pic is taken at a funny angle, as the flowers were down in a ditch and I just stuck the camera down and wished for the best!

You can also see how blue the sky is in the picture of my son. That's it, it is offically spring in my part of the world!

Good luck bears

My daughter is into amateur dramatics, and has a show starting on Tuesday night. I personalised good luck bears for her and her two best friends, and was really pleased with the results.

A lovely spring walk

Today we went out to Cramond, near Edinburgh, and had a lovely walk on the shore then up through the woods. I took my camera too, so got a few nice snaps.

Morning everyone. I held my first SU/craft event in the house last Sunday, and raised lots of money for charity, which was great.

I created four make and takes, here are the pictures. I have been asked to do a similar event for staff at a local school probably next month.

It's been a year

How rubbish am I, I have not posted on this blog for over a year?

However, as a brand new fresh out of the box Stampin Up demonstrator I will do my best to upload more often.

First off here are a few cards I have made with my lovely new SU products.

I have been amazed at how quick it is to get started, and how good the finished articles look with very little creative effort.

Bute-iful

We were incredibly lucky with the weather and got sunshine for most of our week on the isle of Bute.

Working without photos

Huge move out of my comfort zone here, but I decided to scrap a page without a photo.

Instead I hand-cut this stained glass window effect frame, and added on Brenda Pickin papers behind.

I am quite thrilled with the effect, and given I love the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, I thought this was an appropriate title.

Teacher's gifts, cards and more

One week till the school closes, so I had to quickly think what to make.

I used an Asda lunch tin I had stored in the loft, and covered it in pinks ... DD says her teacher LOVES pink!!!!

We are lucky enough to live near the Scottish Fine Soaps factory shop, and were able to pack the box out with goodies for under £1.50, so this looks an awful lot of present for a minimal spend!

Then I turned my attention to the Maya Road vintage purse album blank I had. I coverd it in QVC papers and ribbons, in similar colours, but with greens too. I have yet to add piccies, but I think it will be black and white ones of the kids.

Earlier this week I made loads of cards too.

It has been great fun, as I haven't made cards in ages.
